Nicks field study

  Field notes #5 November 23 at 2:54pm,  49 degrees outside.  Length of day 9hrs and 28mins. it was a clear day with some clouds in the sky as-well as a little wind. I did not see any creatures this time, it seems the birds have already gotten sick of the cold and moved south. I could hear the rustle of what leaves were left because of the wind. Since my last visit I noticed that almost all of the trees have lost their leaves at this point besides one of them which you can see in the trees picture that seems to be holding on to them. I also didnt see any creatures this time which was different from last time because last time I saw a blue heron chillin in the pond, I did notice some deer footprints around the pond although i did not see the deer. A question that I have is why does that one tree still have a good amount of leaves when all its buddies around it are completely bare? Im in awe of the fact that Gods creation can change so much in such a short time. Its cool to...

  November 3 at 3:10pm  Very clear blue skys, however it is a pretty windy day.   56 degrees outside.  Length of day 10hrs and 12 mins. On todays visit when i rolled in a scared a great blue heron who was pretty frightened when he noticed me, I even got a little picture of him as he was flying away. Today I didnt really hear alot of birds of bugs, maybe the sound of the wind make it harder for me to notice. I noticed alot of changed with the leaves. The one really colorful section from last time is now just bare tree. All the leaves fell off as you can see in the picture above. There is still alot of fall colors on the trees around the pond. Im in awe of the colors that are portrayed on the trees. I think its really cool how they change and fall with the changing of seasons. 

 10/15/2025 at 3:30pm  Another clear sky and sunny afternoon sitting at a chilling 60 degrees.  Length of day was 11hrs and 3mins  I heard many birds and annoying bugs as-well as a couple frogs that I saw jump in the water when they noticed my presense. Since my last visit I have noticed alot more colors on a section of trees which is shown in one of the pictures above. The fall season is causing these leaves to change color and begin to fall. The water levels in the pond have decreased to which is shown a picture. I see awe in this field notes because its really beautiful to see these cool array of colors portrayed on the trees and I just think that its really cool. 

  September 28 at 4pm  Clear skys and 73 degrees.  Length of day 11hrs and 51mins I heard alot of pretty annoying bugs that dont seem to ever stop making noise, i also saw a deer earlier in the week at pond and wanted to include it. I saw little fish swimming around the pond and also heard various birds somewhere in the woods. Since my last visit the trees have added some color to them because of the change in seasons. there is alot more leafs on the ground all around aswell. The pond makes me think of stewardship because we need to take care of nature because of all the different species that rely on it in there everyday lifes like all the deer.
